15TH STEERING GROUP MEETING OF PA2 HELD IN BRUSSELS – 4 DECEMBER 2017

 

The 15th Steering Group Meeting of PA2 was held at the Permanent Representation of the Czech Republic to the EU in Brussels on 4 December 2017, with the participation of 8 EUSDR countries.

During the meeting progress since the 14th Steering Group Meeting was discussed and the activities of 2017 were elaborated. H.E. Mr Pál Ságvári, Ambassador-at-large for Energy Security from the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade and Priority Area Coordinator of PA2 presented the progress made this year with special attention to events, studies, publications by PA2 and also project generation and management activities. He also introduced the 7 projects that received a Letter of Alignement from the priority area for the Danube Transnational Programme Seed Money Facility Call.

Mr Félix Moldován presendted the outcomes of the Hungarian Presidency and its closing event, the 6th Annual Forum of the EUSDR. He depicted the involvement of HU PA2 coordination in the preparation for the Forum, mainly in building the thematic focus of the conference – energy security, infrastructure development, clean connectivity and an outlook to financing after 2020. He also briefed the SG about the high-level participation at the event, informing them that Prime Minister of Hungary, Mr Viktor Orbán, opened the conference. The event was organised with the participation of more than 1200 people involved in the EUSDR.
