INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON MACRO-REGIONAL COOPERATION IN TOURISM AND ENERGY
The event, organized by Priority area 3 of the Danube Strategy, was held on 23rd May of 2018 in Sofia. Main objective was to bring representatives of the four macro-regional strategies together, namely EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region, EU Strategy for the Danube Region, EU Strategy for the Adriatic and Ionian Region, EU Strategy for the Alpine Region, to provide up to date overview of current issues under the respective strategies and to discuss possible synergies in the energy and tourism agendas of the regions with already existing cooperation taking into account.
Priority Area 2 of Danube Strategy (sustainable energy) was represented by Czech Priority Area 2 coordinator, Mr. Filip Šín, who gave a general review of the PA2 activities and primary focus for 2018, with presentation of couple project related to energy and tourism, taking into account possible synergies in these interest areas and future cooperation possibilities.
