PRIORITY AREA 2 PRESENTED THE DANUBE REGION STRATEGY AT THE GOVERNEE FINAL CONFERENCE
On behalf of Priority Area 2, Szilárd Árvay attended the final conference of the Central European Programme funded GovernEE project: “Energy Efficient buildings: even more important in times of economical crisis?” organized by the city of Hódmezővásárhely on 3 July 2013. The primary purpose of the event was to highlight the challenges the EU and Hungary are facing in the field of energy efficiency and how European projects and GovernEE in particular, are giving an answer to this question.
Mr Árvay presented the Danube Region Strategy in general, the gap between the EU2020 energy-efficiency targets and the projected data, emphasized the energy saving potential of public buildings, listed the initiatives of Priority Area 2 in this field, shortly informed the audience about the services offered by the Budapest Danube Contact Point and the Danube Transnational Progamme being in preparation.
