The coordinating institution of the Energy Priority Area (PA2) of EUSDR, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary has recently published the study “NATIONAL ENERGY AND CLIMATE PLANS IN THE DANUBE REGION“. The study provides a comparative assessment of the targets, measures and expected outcomes laid down in the National Energy and Climate Plans (NECPs) of EU member states belonging to the Danube Region, and the energy strategies of the non-EU Danube Region countries where NECPs are in progress. The analysis was prepared by the Regional Centre for Energy Policy Research (REKK). As a follow up of this study, REKK has prepared 4 policy briefs in the topics of electricity, natural gas, heating and cooling, transport. The policy briefs cover individual DR national energy and climate strategies and the expected developments in the region.
