SECOND TRAINING PROGRAM OF THE PRIORITY AREA 2 TO THE REPUBLIC OF MOLDOVA ON THE EU’S 3RD ENERGY PACKAGE

 

After the success of the first training program for the energy sector of the Republic of Moldova in February 2013, the second training program is taking place in Chisinau on 26-28 March, 2013. The knowledge transfer training program is the second in the series with a special focus on energy regulation issues in connection with the EU’s 3rd Energy Package.

In the course of the Fact Finding Mission in January, the counterparts agreed in the professional content which includes the following main topics:

  • Unbundling, requirements on separation of activities, designation and certification procedure of TSOs (gas and electricity) – the necessary legal requirements and the procedure.
  • Practical examples on separation of activities, on Supervisory Body and on Compliance Monitoring
  • Requirements and practice of DSO unbundling

Experts, regulators and delegates from EU MS’s will share their knowledge and experience in order to foster the development and effectiveness of the energy sector in Moldova. According to the Fact Finding Mission in January, the proposed training program enjoys the support of the Government of the Republic of Moldova and all relevant stakeholders from the energy sector.
