SMART CITIES SYMPOSIUM PRAGUE 2018
The fourth annual conference on Smart Cities was held in beautiful cellars of minority monastery in Prague, organized by Czech Technical University in Prague. Conference was focused on various topics concerning one general theme, being Smart Cities and their implementation. Topics varied from system approach to Smart Cities transformation through technologies, social aspect all the way to energy efficiency, where the Priority Area 2 of Danube Strategy comes to play.
Czech PA2 recently issued a study on Smart Cities in the Danube region, which is currently processed under supervision of prof. Ondřej Přibyl, head of Scientific Committee organizing this very event. On the basis of this cooperation Czech PA2 energy team helped to provide one of the key note speakers, Mr. Tomáš Prouza, former State Secretary for European Affairs, who spoke about general policy and system approach towards Smart Cities implementation with macro-regional strategies, namely EU Strategy for the Danube Region, taking into account.
