The European Commission organizes a hybrid EU Macro-Regional Strategies Week between 7-11 March 2022. The third edition follows the motto Engage, Empower, Evolve centred around three topics: Youth, European Green Deal and Social Change.
The EU MRS Week will Engage stakeholders from across the four MRS and the EU institutions, to Empower them to take charge of the opportunities MRS offer in order to Evolve their Macro-Regions towards a smart and sustainable future in the 2021-2027 programming period.
In the frame of the EU MRS Week EUSDR PA2 organizes a workshop titled “Fostering the renovation wave in the Danube and Adriatic-Ionian macro-regions” on 9 March 2022 13:30 – 15:00.
The session initiated by PA2 (CZ), Danube Strategy Point, Croatia and Slovakia will bring together actors from several stakeholder groups, such as academia, public sector, funding, energy community and policy administration to give an overview and discuss the current status quo in the EUSDR, the policy developments on the carbon-neutrality goals and funding opportunities. The session will also provide a cross-MRS approach by looking at concrete examples and the best practices from Croatia (member country in EUSDR & EUSAIR) and Slovakia. A following discussion will give the space for the audience to actively debate with the speakers about recommendations and scenarios in these regions.
