ETOUREUROPE 2017

 

The Hungarian presidency of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region has supported the initiative eTourEurope 2017, which is a European electric car long-distance rally. Its overall aim is to promote eMobility by demonstrating vehicle reliability and fast-charging network on international routes.

The event was organized on 9-18 June 2017, during 9 days the electric cars went through 9 countries and thus demonstrated the long-range reliability of today’s electric cars at international distances through Europe. The Hungarian sector of the tour was organised by the Hungarian Electromobility Association.

ETourEurope also aims to create awareness for the need for expansion of fast charging infrastructure. The experiences gained during the rally will be communicated towards the participating countries in order to share best practices with each other.

As one of the main focus topics of the Hungarian presidency of the EUSDR is clean transport, we are proud to support this prestigious event.
