The Municipal Climate Congress will take place virtually 20-21 May and is organised by the Climate & Energy Agency of Baden-Württemberg (KEA-BW), the Ministry of the Environment, Climate Protection and the Energy Sector. The two-day congress is supported by PA2 of EUSDR. The aim of the event is to bring local and regional actors together to discuss experiences and best practices in the field of climate protection and achievements of its targets.
The first day will start with the side event “Business Opportunities in the Danube-Save Region – Focus Climate Protection & Green Economy”. In this event, the interested stakeholders will gather together to identify specific possibilities for cooperation, as well as for networking.
On the second day, the main workshops will be dedicated to climate protection from the state, regional and local perspective. Additional 5 parallel sessions will focus on Systematic Energy Management; Climate Adaptation; Achieving Climate Protection through Energy Efficiency; Sustainable Mobility and Climate Protection Communication.
At the session “Achieving Climate Protection through Energy Efficiency”, one of the contributions will refer to the promotion of municipal energy efficiency projects across the borders in the Danube region.
